Hide me in the dark

A photographic exploration of transience.

Every glance, every touch, every light in the room is fleeting and lingers only for a moment before fading away. “Hide me in the dark” is a visual reflection on the inexorable passage of time and the act of disappearing. The cinematic works do not impose a fixed chronology but rather open up a space for association in which the essence of temporality becomes palpable.

“Hide Me in the Dark” was conceived as a book from the very beginning. Published in a limited edition and entirely handcrafted, each copy is one of a kind. The Coptic binding holds the pages together, yet the open spine remains visible. This was a deliberate choice that reflects the vulnerability of what is shown. Nothing is hidden; no solid cover protects the interior.

The curation was developed in collaboration with Wolfgang Zurborn, president of the German Photographic Academy und Leiter der Galerie Lichtblick
