“I do not photograph depictions. I photograph states of being.”
I am a seeker. My life is centered in Ortenburg, Lower Bavaria; here, I am a father, a husband, and deeply rooted in reality. But when I pick up a camera, I leave the tangible world behind and venture into the spaces in between.
In my work, I do not use photography as a tool for documentation, but as a medium of expression for the inexpressible. I am not interested in what we see, but in what we feel when silence sets in.
Between Reality and Dream
I tend to lose myself in the intensity of my own thoughts. Photography is my way of organizing this inner noise and giving it a form. My work moves along the edge: where familiar reality fades and the dream—or sometimes the abyss—begins.
I deeply appreciate that my search resonates with others. My works have found their place in private collections and corporate spaces, and the recognition through awards encourages me to continue on this path. After more than 14 years of shaping my visual language, it is more important to me than ever to create depth instead of volume.
I dedicate myself intensely to my book projects and limited editions. I view these monographs as haptic manifestos—an attempt to capture the fleeting and an invitation to the viewer to join me in embracing the unknown.
My works are created in seclusion, yet they seek discourse. For inquiries regarding exhibitions, publications, or collaborations, I am at your disposal. Contact
