Richard Grando is an artist based in Lower Bavaria who, alongside painting, focuses primarily on photography. In his work, he translates fleeting observations and thoughts into tangible objects.

In his practice, Richard uses photography as a tool to capture the intensity of the present moment. He is guided by a particular fascination with the interplay of light and texture, through which he explores universal themes of human existence—from the joy of parenthood to the stillness of grief and impermanence. For him, it is less about pure documentation and more about capturing an inner resonance.

Richard lives with his wife and two children in Ortenburg. The stability of his rural home and his conscious awareness of the present have sensitized him to the magic of the everyday.
