RICHARD GRANDO

Richard Grando (*1987, Romania) lives in Ortenburg, southern Germany. His photography explores the transience of beautiful moments and the search for identity – caught between intimacy and loss.
Through the loss of his homeland and his sister, he learned early on that nothing lasts. His images speak of the quiet disappearance of the things we love.

It is this ambivalence between clarity and mystery that defines his work – snapshots of emotions that explore the space between what is lived and what is dreamed. Subtle dialogues between light and shadow run through his visual language, always in search of the intersection between human presence and place, between transience and permanence.
His aim is not merely to convey visual impressions, but to open up spaces: for personal memories, for reflection, for pausing. An invitation to feel life in the present – with all its beautiful, yet also difficult moments.
Because nothing stays the way it is. And everything that surrounds us today will one day become a memory.

His work has been acquired by companies and private collectors, with some pieces receiving awards. He publishes in small editions and is continuously developing his own book projects. Contact
